Name: Web and Support Technician
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate Basis: Hourly
Job Purpose:
In this position, the employee will be responsible
for the layout and design of client websites and the integration of
content, and the implementation of search engine optimization tasks.
The individual will be involved in gathering requirements and the
quotation of the integration of sites into equaTEK’s content management
system. The individual will also take on the role of the first level
support for customer support calls. This individual will be a central
point for effective communication in verbal and written format, with
prospective clients, established clients, and other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up web site accounts following
equaTEK’s established set-up procedures
• Integration and
customization of web site skins from third party developers which may
include HTML, XHTML, CSS, graphic, and flash modification.
• Integration,
customization and deployment of client web sites utilizing equaTEK’s
modular web (portal) program
• Management of Registrar accounts and
DNS zone data
• Setup and management of email accounts for equaTEK
clients
• Acquisition and installation of SSL certificates
• Provide
first “point-of-contact” communications (phone, e-mail) with clients.
• Respond
to Client inquiries and requests for web and e-mail services
• Respond
to and coordinate Client inquires and requests for Software Application
development, website design and online marketing.
• Other duties as
assigned.
Requirements:
Demonstrate knowledge/proficiency developed through
practical experience, formal education or a combination of both. Areas
of knowledge/proficiency required include:
• Internet Development Languages including HTML, XHTML,
CSS • Effective Phone and interpersonal Communication Skills
• Website
layout and Design • Proficiency with Graphic design tools like
Photoshop and graphic preparation for web deployment
• Use of Website
development tools
